His Eminence Dakpo Rinpoche

Dakpo Dawoe Shunu was the first lineage of Gompo Tulku and he was one of the utmost prominent masters of Kagyud School of his time. Second was the Dhakpo Kunkhyen Tashi Namgyal who was known to be the reincarnation of Ugyen Bima Dhakpo Lhajey. In fact, his ancestor had prophesized that he would born in Dhaklha Gampo institute as the incarnation of Dakpo Dawoe Shunu. The third was Norbu Gyenpa. The holder of Rigzin Gyatson Ningpo’s teaching has a root-like holder, two tree-like holders and eight branch-like holders. And he was renowned to be the root-like holder of the Rigzin Gyatson Nyinpo’s teaching. Gyenchok Sangpo Dorjee was the fourth lineage holder of Gampo Tulku. It is believe that he had discoverd some treasury teaching. Since him Gompo institute started to practice both kagyud and Nyingma traditions, so the tradition is known as KaNying, which mean the union of Kagyud and Nyingma. Fifth was Kunsang Ngedon Wangpo and sixth was Gampo Dodul Lingpa. He is the chief of the three revealers of hidden land. As Mahaguru’s prophecy, Gonpo Dodul Lingpa discovered the holy place of Pemakot. He then introduced the dharma to the local tribes and built the Palace of Compendium of Vajrasattva and Monastery of Tambu Rinchen Pung in the center of the holy place intended to dharma to be remained longer. We have not witnessed any biography of
seventh and eight Gampo Tulkus.

Gamtul Shedrup Lungtok Yonten Gyatso

He was born in the north-west of the Lhasa in 1954. He went to exile in India when he was seven years old. There he began to learn the reading skills from his father at the time. At the age of eight, he went to Kalimpong to receive the variety empowerments and transmissions of Nyingma Kama tradition from his Eminence Dudjom Rinpoche. After the empowerment and
transmissions, he was recognized as the incarnation of Gampo Tulku. He, gradually,started to learn the intensive reading and writing skills from His Eminence Khochim Rinpoche. Eventually, he went to Khenchen Tsondue in Ngedon Gatsal Ling monastery from whom he received the academic studies of Buddhist philosophy. Simultaneously, he was studying the Tibetan grammar from Lama Gonpo Tenzin and was learning the ritual studies such as chanting the recitation, making Torma and making Sand-Mandala and so on.

Afterwards, as the intention of his teacher and masters, he did chanting master and then disciplinarian for quite a long time. While he was giving service to the monastery, whenever he got time and chance, he would go to receive the ocean-like teachings of Nyingma tradition from H.E Dudjom Rinpoche, H.E Dilgo Khyentse, H.E Dodrup Rinpoche, H.E Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, H.E Nyushul Khenpo and H.E Dungsay Trenlay Norbu.

Around his twenty eight or nine, H. E Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche convinced him to take leave from the monastery and come to him. He followed his master’s advice and went to H.E Dilgo Khyentse rinpoche. While he was with H.E Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, he helped Rinpoche for

setting up the texts, doing preparation for initiation, doing Torma during Dropchen, doing chanting master and so on. Fortunately, he got opportunity to receive almost all the teachings, empowerments and transmissions of Nyingma traditions from Rinpoche. Even after the parinirvana of H.E Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, up until now and he has been helping Rabjam Choktrul Rinpoche to edit the Jewel Treasure and other important texts. Currently, he is living in Nepal, Shechen Tennyi Dargye Ling Monastery.
