The name Minling Shabdrung is particularly used for the younger brothers of The Minling Thrichen. The Minling Shabdrung Jampal Drakpa was born as a younger brother of the 11th Minling thrichen. He was also nominated in the list of the 13th Dalai Lama by Radeng Rinpoche. His scholarly, practice as well as strengths are incompatible, yet he was passed away in the prison due to the political situation in Tibet.

His reincarnation is popularly known as Tulku Dorjee Bhum Rinpoche, who was born in the noble family. His memory was Christal clear when he was young. Hence, he used to tell that “I am a Jampal and I have a huge monastery and many monks. My monks ignored me and I died by famine”. Thus, he was recognized as a reincarnation of Late Minling Shabdrung Jampal Drakpa.

H.E Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche has seen him as a great Tulku and capable to benefit all beings and spread buddha Dharma across the world. Hence, H.E Dzongsar Jamyang Kheyntse Rinpoche has given him an assuring letter, saying that he will be benefiting entire sentient beings and holding the Buddha Dharma in this degenerate era. Dzongsar Rinpoche has also offered him a land, where Dzongsar Rinpoche lived for many years in his young age and also a secret place of Guru Padmasambhava. The place is located in Sikkim and known as Gyal Shing.

Rinpoche has begun his study from the elementary in Mindrol Ling school and studied all buddhist major and minor texts in Mindrol Ling Sherda. Eventually he has completed his Khenpo degree in Mindrol Ling Shedra. While he was studying in

Mindrol Ling Shedra he received many transmissions, such as; one hundred eight volumes of Buddha’s teachings, Tantrik teachings of Nyingma Tradition, and many other Kama and Terma teachings and uncommon mind trainings from The real Vajradhara Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, Yangthang Rinpoche, Thulshik Rinpoche, Lhodak namnying Rinpoche, Ladakh Tokden Rinpoche and many other masters.

Rinpoche has also been practicing the teachings and mind trainings that he received from above great masters. Rinpoche’s vision is to hold the Buddha Dharma by practicing and meditating in this degenerate era, which is extremely crucial as well as necessary. In order to complete this huge task we need decent practitioners and meditators. Hence, Rinpoche is going to built a retreat Centre in the Gyal Shing, which is offered by H.E Dzongsar Rinpoche, and provide decent facilities to the practitioners, so that they could practice their own teachings without any issues and difficulties.
